The Zanesville Times Recorder has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Assistant in the advertising department. The Sales Assistant assists the sales teams by performing clerical functions such as ad order entry, daily sales reports, account communication, and other clerical and administrative functions. Is responsible for assisting walk-in circulation and advertising customers at the front counter which involves handling both advertising and circulation payments, including credit card processing and mail in payments and must maintain company’s cash control procedures.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Accurate typing skills/PC experience (Windows environment and solid online use for digital products and ads)
Good phone skills/Strong customer service skills and initiative.
Must have excellent organizational, detailed record keeping and time management skills
Strong reading comprehension, written and verbal communication skills.
General office skills and knowledge of office equipment are required.
