Pressroom - Maintenance Technician I

Treasure Coast Newspapers, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK is looking for a motivated individual to join the Maintenance team at our St. Lucie West production facility. Duties include performing a wide range of technical repairs (electrical and mechanical) on all production related equipment and associated various systems including Manroland press, air compressors, inserter machines, conveyors, motors, electronics, stackers, strapping equipment, etc. Will help to ensure that all production equipment is maintained properly through documented preventive maintenance. Must have familiarity with OSHA requirements and follow safety programs. Must be able to communicate well, both written and verbally, with frontline employees. Must be able to routinely climb stairs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Occasionally may be required to reach, climb, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work in inky, oily, and greasy environment. Exposure to heights, paper dust, machine noise. Frequent lifting or moving of 25 to 50 pounds. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 100 pounds.
