Overview :

USA TODAY NETWORK Ventures Events, the events division for Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking a Marketing Manager . Our ideal candidate has a love for marketing and advertising with a strong knowledge in integrated marketing and reaching audiences in the complex media landscape . The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Marketing & Creative Strategy Director and works closely with Event Directors and other members of the Ventures Team to execute their r esponsibilities . Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops marketing strategies and plans aligned with company event initiatives
  • Executes marketing plans including print, digital, social media and other channels
  • Develops and executes media trade partnerships
  • Produces public relations assets for media opportunities
  • Works with creative and video teams to develop marketing collateral
  • Supports others in the marketing department as required
  • Assists with industry and location-based marketing research
  • Stay s up-to-date on marketing trends and techniques
  • Complete s tasks in an appropriate timeframe
  • Manage s daily administrative tasks
Core Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing , Advertising , or applicable field
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, advertising or other related field
  • Expert k nowledge of marketing principles and integrated marketing
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and their advertising platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O ffice 365 products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Motivated self-starter who excels at multitasking and is able to work without direct supervision
  • Driven team player who's always working to improve themselves and the team
  • Willing to assist other teams in the organization and travel to support event execution
  • Legal right to work in the United States

    The annualized base salary for this role will range between $45,000 and $105,800. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
