Intern Design Studio
The Gannett Design Studio at The Tennessean in Nashville offers paid, 10-week internships to eager, high-potential newspaper page designers. The Design Studio serves 12 newspapers, designing their pages and transmitting them electronically to print facilities across the South.
Internships are available any time of the year, including from the end of the school year to the beginning of the next school year.
An internships will give promising students an opportunity to learn from an experienced staff, including Society of News Design award winners. We want enthusiastic team players eager to show off skills and learn new skills while working collaboratively with editors, reporters and photographers.
Experience designing news and magazine pages under deadline pressure and using InDesign, PhotoShop and/or other popular software is preferred.
Gannett Co., Inc. is a proud equal opportunity employer. We are a drug free, EEO employer committed to a diverse workforce. We will consider all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity, family responsibilities, disability, education, political affiliation or veteran status.
