The Times of Shreveport, and in northwest Louisiana, part of the USA Today Network, are looking for a fast-paced reporter with multimedia skills to cover breaking news, public safety and the courts. The USA Today Network is a top global digital media company that reaches more than 100 million people monthly through a powerful network of mobile and publishing properties.

Shreveport, Louisiana’s third-largest city, anchors a market of more than 300,000 bisected by the scenic Red River, within easy driving distance of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, Dallas and the Arkansas hill country. Shreveport has a growing arts scene, including resident film makers.

Top candidates will be curious and driven, determined to roll to breaking news scenes without being told. They’ll be competitive, exhibiting a digital metabolism geared toward publishing quickly and supplementing often. They’ll be digitally savvy, with an understanding of how to use digital audience metrics to shape decision-making and social media to connect with a reader following and promote audience growth.
