Account Executive-Sponsorship Sales

The candidate hired for the Key Account Executive role will sell multi-media advertising solutions to the very critical large, local business sector with local or regional decision makers. This position will also have a strong emphasis on Sports Sponsorship Sales and Cause Marketing Sales.

In this role, you will:

Sell multi-media Sponsorship and Concept Sales advertising solutions to include digital, print and mobile.

Support the efforts of the Advertising department through concepting, selling and renewing third-party sports and cause marketing sponsorship sales through local professional and semi-professional sports teams and local, regional and national charities.

Work with local sports teams, non-profits and partner advertisers to plan, coordinate and execute paid print and online advertising contract fulfillment.

Develop creative digital and print strategies, using research-based data and various other resources.

Consistently achieve sports and non-sports revenue goals by fostering long-term relationships with clients.

Secure quality face-time with key advertising decision makers.

Develop and maintain a plan for success that includes in depth account knowledge, team knowledge, face-to-face meetings, innovative problem-solving and activation.

Manage day-to-day activities with the Salesforce CRM system.

Manage integrated advertising solutions, media planning, digital and mobile solutions, research, analysis, ad concepts, creative solutions and sports sales strategies based on market specific industry and core customer information for specified clients; taking the gathered information in combination with audience based selling principles and applying it to recommendations for such clients in the form of data, ad design, digital and creative solutions and sales “concept” presentations to grow new revenue, create multi-year agreements and acquire competing media dollars.

Build a continuous pipeline of sales prospects and building strategies to maximize revenue potential with local and regional accounts and sports teams.

Collaborate with advertising sales and marketing teams to understand client business needs to include client meetings to identify advertiser’s needs, utilize research and data to create compelling recommendations and aid in the development of creative sponsorship programs and campaigns.

Prepare and lead client presentations and/or proposals.

Build presentations and present information, research, advertising and sponsorship concepts or other elements to clients

Proficient in digital media & digital marketing solutions and how advertisers can utilize digital marketing to drive results for their businesses.

Here’s is what you need:

Bachelor’s Degree (or combination of experience/education).

5 years of proven sales experience with clear measurable results (digital and/or advertising sales preferred).

Strong understanding of digital media platforms.

Demonstrated ability to grow and maintain revenue market share.

Ability to accurately develop revenue forecasts and manage prospecting pipelines.

Proficient in face-to-face sales, including up-selling.

Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment; in building customer-based revenue and in delivering customer solutions based on identified needs.

Ability to find, contact, and partner with new business opportunities.

Valid Driver’s License, a good driving record, access to a vehicle and minimum State Liability Insurance.
