The Role:
We’re looking for a passionate, adaptable and inventive, hands-on People leader who has a track record of helping startup sized companies engage, develop, and retain high performing teams and individuals. This leader will craft the vision, strategy and execution of the growing Gametime culture, as well as the happiness & incentive systems to empower individuals at all levels. They will also lead learning across the company, always looking to keep our people sharp in new areas of interest and career development.

You will be heavily involved in hiring strategy, social design, employee advocacy, incentivization and People Operations. Continuing to develop a strong culture is a major initiative and this role requires someone who can assess strengths and weaknesses so that we can amplify the bright spots, and identify areas of opportunity. This role will reporting directly to our CEO, playing an integral part of the executive team by shaping the future of talent development and retention here at Gametime.

What You’ll Do/Own:

  • Compensation and Benefits - analyze existing compensation packages and plan future comp across all functions; benchmark our current benefits package, and strategize for additional benefits as we scale. Introduce variable incentive compensation plans to deploy
  • People Operations Leader - support, train and drive existing and future People Operations team members to success through effective 1:1s, goal setting and performance management
  • Vision and Strategy - work on the Executive team to set and execute on the long-term vision for key People Operations initiatives: learning & development, retention, growth, recruitment
  • Recruitment - develop a recruitment strategy, headcount plan, and guide the recruitment team to further promote company culture
  • Diversity & Inclusion - lead initiatives that nurture and promote further diversity across the organization to more effectively achieve our strategic objectives
  • Professional Development - build scalable professional development programs that aid in growing our team’s capabilities, drive employee retention and individual career growth
  • Compliance - ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

More about you:

  • Demonstrable experience as Head of HR or other senior HR role
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, learning and development, compliance, incentivization)
  • Experienced in current standard methodologies and trends within HR functions
  • Strong track record in Change Management, with a high sense of urgency and dedicated decision-making capabilities
  • Strategic thinker, superior communicator and confident decision-maker
  • Sound appreciation for and keen focus on culture
  • Comfortable in public speaking and presentation roles
  • Previous experience in scaling a high-growth startup
