What you will do:
Gallup cares that every associate, at every turn, is working on a team and a project that change the world a little to a lot every day.
With great autonomy, you will use your background and experience as a Java developer to play an integral role on our core development team. You will build new platforms on the cloud and mentor new members of the software development team.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated expertise in a variety of information technology concepts, practices and procedures and who can design, modify, develop, write and implement software applications. The ideal candidate will be energized by building new platforms and watching them come to life. Your expertise in software development and willingness to learn give you an edge as you take Gallup's platforms into the future.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related degree required
- A minimum of five years of consistent corporate Java experience
- Unit testing experience (preferably with JUnit) required
- Understanding of how HTTP works as it applies to RESTful architectures required
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Experience with Git, Maven, AWS and INtelliJ IDEA preferred
- Knowledge of Scala desired
