Online Display Marketing Manager


The Online Display Marketing Manager supports the operations of the Acquisition Marketing department, a B2C team that generates high revenue and new customers via multiple online and traditional marketing channels. The position will assist in campaign execution for multi-million dollar online display acquisition budgets. The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams including creative, merchandising, supply chain and site to identify and market the best-selling products across multiple consumer-facing brands; mainly for ProFlowers and Shari’s Berries.

How you will make an impact:

  • Media Buy Planning:
  • Develop annual plans that forecast orders, new customer rates, spend and ROAS
  • Set strategies to meet or exceed annual plans
  • Coordinate with supply chain to secure promotional products
  • Own various publisher relationships for display
  • Negotiate media buys and determine audience targets to maximize profitability and scale
  • Confirm contracts represent the planned buy/business terms and lead the legal and internal stakeholder approval process
  • Support innovation and testing with new technology, vendors and more
  • Creative Asset Testing and Execution:
  • Build out creative production requests including selecting products, offers or messaging to test both in-market and on landing pages
  • Quality check and approve creative assets
  • Assist with uploading and assigning creative assets to placements using ad serving tools or by providing files directly to partners
  • Media Buy Execution:
  • Assist with setting up/trafficking activities using ad serving tools
  • Manage media buys during campaign flights by:
  • Executing creative and landing page tests
  • Maximizing profitability via thorough and thoughtful optimization
  • Updating creative assets or search copy based on supply and performance
  • Assist with other campaign tasks as needed such as partner pixel placement, submitting merchandising requests for promotional products and managing landing page products based on features, inventory and sales
  • Run reports using Microsoft Office Suite, ad serving tools, web analytics software and SQL. Develop new reports or improve upon existing ones as needed.
  • Assist with strategic post-campaign analysis and provide recommendations for future campaigns
  • Manage monthly reporting to finance and invoice processing
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional team leads and marketing managers
  • Present innovative ideas and work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Skills & competencies you will leverage:


  • 3 to 5 years of experience with online display marketing or media
  • Experience in direct buy and programmatic display planning, partner negotiations, audience selection, campaign trafficking and in-flight optimization
  • Strong Excel skills including but not limited to performing financial & bid analysis
  • Experience writing creative briefs, working with creative teams and reviewing assets
  • Working knowledge of ad serving technology (Conversant/Mediaplex or DoubleClick preferred)
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, manage multiple projects and work in a cross functional organization
  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail


  • Experience setting annual financial plans and managing to forecast
  • Experience with mobile, native and paid social display opportunities
  • Working knowledge of Tealium, Adobe Analytics, SQL, Cognos, Daptiv and Photoshop
  • Understanding and interest in landing page optimization and online attribution
