Inside Sales (FTD Market Place) Floral Industry

How would you like to work for a close knit sales team selling hard goods (such as ribbons, glassware, vases, containers, baskets, plush animals, calendars, coolers, etc.) to members of the FTD network of floral shops? You will use your warm and engaging personality to make warm calls to our members within an assigned Mid West territory to sell them holiday and everyday branded product, non-branded wholesale product and calendars. If you have experience in a proactive, goal oriented and customer focused, consultative, inside sales role, you will want to be considered for this exciting career opportunity at FTD!

Whar We Expect From You::

  • Outbound calling (70 calls per day) to FTD members
  • Calling on our valued FTD members (retail florists) to sell branded and generic hard goods
  • Uncover new opportunities within assigned MW territory
  • Instill members with confidence in FTD and our full range of Marketplace products/services
  • Support company initiatives as needed
  • Grow each territory to meet and/or exceed set sales targets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Contribute:

  • Floral industry experience a plus but not reauired
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior inside sales experience; knowledge and ability to sell on value; ability to effectively use email marketing
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • High volume warm calling experience into a business-to-business environment
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Previous territory management -- managing total business
  • Excellent team player
  • High energy and drive
  • Willingness to do what it takes to get job done
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends when necessary (during peak seasons)
