Inbound Manager - FoodKick

Position Summary:

This role is an outstanding opportunity to be an integral part of FoodKick’s rapidly expanding business. The Inventory Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of inventory management of a FoodKick operation.  The role consists of working cross functionally with other departments to minimize cost throughout the organization. The ideal candidate should have experience within a perishable, food or provisional items.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the following KPI:
    • Loss Rate
    • Cycle Count frequency
    • Inventory accuracy
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of a 15+ member inventory / outbound team,
  • Oversee cycle count scheduling, oversight and inventory discrepancy and reconciliation for the entire FoodKick site
  • Build Inventory Control team by developing all team members, identifying talent for possible promotion, and challenging high performers
  • Responsible for the scheduling, control of payroll, and assignment of work for employees
  • Communicate with Customer Service department to mitigate order fulfillment issues
  • Handle projects as required – including project plan development, project management, and accountability for results

Supervision Received

  • Reports to Site Manager; plans and carries out work assignments
  • Works cross functionally with Operations Team

Supervisory Duties:

  •   Supervises Team Leads

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years’ of Inventory management experience
  • Three plus (3+) years’ of people management experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite; with advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System

  • Must be pro-active, resourceful, and hands-on
  • Proven ability to be detailed, analytical and organized
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and or weekends
  • Comfortable working independently and in an environment where accuracy of work is paramount
  • Desire to be a Leader; with the ability to coach, mentor, problem solve, build teams
  • Previous exposure to and demonstrated success in, a high-growth business environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
  • Prior work experience in an Food Distribution, Grocery Warehouse / Supermarket or Commissary ideal
  • BA/BS in Management, Logistics, Engineering preferred
