Sales Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Sales Engineer who is excited about technology at a fast-paced venture-backed start-up. This role is a unique combination between sales and product knowledge.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure demo sites for sales demos for prospects
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs
  • Travel to visit potential clients
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Provide training and producing support material for the sales team
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Participate in meeting sales goals and quotas as set forth for the sales team
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ plus years of experience preferably at a SaaS company
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment preferred
  • BA or BS required
  • Intellectually curious and technology / data savvy
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Outstanding communication skills with a proven track record creating solid relationships
  • Team player with the ability to work independently or partner to deliver timely and effective results
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

Colin keeps Fluxx’s software platforms up and running. He wears many hats, but spends much of his time on the company’s production workload for Amazon web services.
