Flexport’s security organization is looking for a passionate, results oriented Technical Program Manager to drive key cross-functional security and infrastructure programs. In this role you will manage the delivery of programs with complex Business, IT, Engineering and Infrastructure dependencies in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders and multiple resource pools, to enable various businesses, engineering and IT functions / processes throughout the company while meeting the underlying security objectives and reducing risks.
You will:
- Lead complex security and infrastructure programs end to end and deliver outstanding results on time with high quality and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build project plans, manage resources, resolve interdependencies, risks, and successfully navigate headwinds and roadblocks.
- Proactively remove obstacles by managing issue escalations and scope change.
- Enable data-driven status reporting capabilities that prioritize system integration and automation to aggregate and provide real-time status updates.
- Build and foster strong collaborative relationships between security, IT, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Analyze business and technical processes to continuously improve automation and reduce toil.
- Manage project operational aspects, scope, change management, and track scheduled progress through the appropriate metrics to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Communicate clearly, timely and effectively to stakeholders and management on the plans, status, critical issues and risks to the organization.
- Leverage existing program tools and best practices, have a keen eye for tools or practices that can add value to the organization with efficiency.
- Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with fellow Technical Program Managers to build trust and amplify program outcomes.
You should have:
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with empathy.
- 10+ years of results-proven program management experience in the Security and/or Infrastructure space
- A data- and metrics-driven mindset.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to apply end-to-end thinking on complex technical dependencies.
- Track record of growth and development, including learning new technologies and applying technical knowledge to program management.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and extrapolate concrete requirements, alignment, and next steps.
- A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
Nice to Have:
- Hands on experience in technical Security and/or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with Security Governance, Risk and Compliance.
- Experience in Product Management, Architecture.
