Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Digitalization Manager located in Chennai/Pune.

Reporting to the Director - Digitalization and Business Excellence , the Intelligent Automation - Technical Lead's role will be responsible for a team of automation engineers focusing on enterprise-wide business process innovation and digital transformation. The position requires someone who possesses rich development experience using UiPath for RPA development, who can lead and motivate a team, be an advocate for automation, has a collaborative attitude, who will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment , has a good understanding of Agile SDLC practices, and has a passion for technical innovation that will meet our business needs.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Design and build Intelligent Automation solutions spanning various functional domains using RPA, OCR and AI/ML based Cognitive technologies
  • Ensure development teams clearly understand the design to develop the solution for cloud/on-prem attended, unattended, and hybrid bots
  • Develop configuration process of Bots through version control
  • Work closely with Process Leads and Business Analysts in understanding the functional requirements and provide solution design & architecture
  • Establish architecture patterns, design and coding standards, and ensure the solutions are built in accordance with standards
  • Manage a team of developers who design, develop, test, deploy and support automations , lead code reviews, train and coach team members on RPA and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Undertake new tools & technology evaluations, lead PoCs, help accelerate adoption of new automation tools within the enterprise
  • Responsible to build and maintain a catalog of reusable technical components library
  • Lead technical design documentation (TDD) to meet defined requirements
  • Support automation opportunity identification and assessment working with the Business Analyst and Project Lead.
  • Conduct application demo, technical feasibility analysis and assessment study
  • Develop environment strategy (Dev/Test/Production etc) and automation test strategy
  • Serve as an escalation point for all technical and architectural issues, understanding of infrastructure issues and lead problem identification/error resolution process with different technical domains
  • Work directly with developers, Business Analysts and delivery leads to ensure Delivery and Implementation of various projects and solutions
  • Helps the development / engineering team manage deadlines and scope changes
  • Works closely with delivery leaders to scope and align development efforts / story points to sprints. Ensure iterative development using Scrum methodology
  • Identifies and suggests ways to improve delivery processes across the automation team
  • Support Operations in sustaining solutions implemented and in tracking improvements.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Candidate should possess 2-3 years' experience managing a Development team
  • Proven experience as technical lead in uipath for 2-3 years
  • Overall IT development experience of 10+ years
  • Strong experience in Agile - Scrum development methodology
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Results oriented with strategic thinking, creative abilities, sense of urgency and passion for innovation
  • A track record in training and mentoring individuals on development and delivery disciplines
  • Experience on .Net, C# and/or Java, Low Code Platforms, Scripting languages, RPA tools and technologies
  • The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches with well documented, supportable and extensible developments
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and accountable to "do what it takes" to get the job done
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
