Job Summary
General Purpose:
Responsible for providing e xpertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and evaluate data and report results , and e scalat ing data integrity issues.
Principle Accountabilities :
Daily Operations
- Identify issues and conduct research to identify the best course of action to correct the data
- Evaluate and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of patient data
- Evaluate reports of data duplicates or errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication and monthly or daily data reports
- Monitor for timely and accurate completion of select data elements
- Identify, review, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Monitor data dictionary statistics
- D evelop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions
- Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources
- D evelop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Perform data entry, either manually or using scanning technology, when needed or required
- I nterpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
- Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
- Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports

- Create and present quality dashboards
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports
- Evaluate the data that comes in from each department
- Build reports that compile the data into simple and understandable format for management
- C oordinate with other departments and c ollect data daily
- Make use of the statistics and the programs provided by the company
- Work closely with senior management and help them find solutions
- Design efficient data collection techniques and p repare reports in the stipulated time
- Check the data to avoid mistakes
- Great ability with number s as you will have to deal with complicated algorithms
A BS in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science.
Typically, then, a data analyst will want to have at least 1-2 years experience in a specific field when applying for a job in said field .

Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities
Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development. Understanding of XML and SQL.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience using SAS, SPSS, or other shop floor systems. Statistical package knowledge is desirable for analyzing large datasets.
Programming skills preferred. Adept at queries and report writing.
Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary in order to communicate easily with statisticians.
Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate.
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
