Sales Engineer, Consulting

About the Position
A brand new position at FiscalNote, Sales Engineers drive revenue growth by developing solutions to complex client needs. Sales Engineers draw upon a deep understanding of FiscalNote’s current offerings, and have the know-how to design new ones when needed. They work with clients, and our Business Development team to support product trials, define the scope of services engagements, and pitch in on the execution of client engagements.

You Will
- Define the scope and cost of professional services components of new engagements
- Interpret and structure complex client policy challenges and propose solutions
- Be responsible for closing a quarterly quota of new business
- Recommend and implement setup and configuration solutions to convert prospects on trial into paying clients
- Stay on the cutting edge of innovation in our product suite and influence product direction based on client needs
- Collaborate with the Policy and Data Science teams to develop and deliver creative solutions for clients
- Advise and educate senior decision makers on best practices regarding our revolutionary technology platform

You Have
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in a client facing presales or services business development role, with demonstrated revenue-generating success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship management skills
- Capacity to navigate different industry verticals
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task across accounts at different stages of the sales cycle
- Entrepreneurial mindset
