UX Designer

First Media is hiring a talent UX designer to join their team in Los Angeles. This role is pivotal in the growth of our new platforms and applications as well as optimization of our current outlets. We are looking for an innovative UX designer who will conduct user research, through interviews, surveys etc. and translate them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. This UX designer MUST have our end user in mind throughout every step. Our audience is our focus.

Responsibilities
·         Ensure each First Media product logically flows from one step to the next
·         Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and designs
·         Focus on wide range of devices and interfaces
·         Accurately estimate design tasks
·         Wireframing, prototyping, user-testing and analytics
·         Truly understand who our audience is and what they are looking for when engaging with us
·         Research industry trends and technologies
·         Work with developers to implement design requirements
        
Qualifications
·         A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
·         Ability to keep business goals in mind
·         2+ years in a dedicated user experience role
·         Ability to work cross-functionally with all departments
·         Strong ability to communicate design decisions and research on the “why”
·         Clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
·         Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, Fireworks, InVision or comparable software to complete tasks
·         Ability to learn new development tools and support new systems
