Financial Analyst

First Media is a millennial focused media company and one of the top 10 publishers on Facebook, with 1.6 billion monthly views. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance and Accounting team. You will be assisting with our financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and other ad hoc analyses. This position is located in Los Angeles and is a full-time, on-site role. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with annual budget process forecasts through the year
  • Track actual performance against budget/forecast and analyze variances
  • Create regular financial reporting, metrics and analysis
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to source key data and automate process of using this data in financial analyses and models
  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and presenting ad hoc analyses
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and presentations
  • Assist accounting team to analyze P&L and cash flow forecasts
  • Produce competitor and sector analyses as needed
  • Assist with M&A activity and analysis as required

Requirements:

  • Accounting/Finance bachelor's degree
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Expert in Excel
  • Strong skills in financial analysis and financial modeling
  • Experience with working with high volume of data/data sets
  • Digital Media experience preferred
  • Self starter, curious, problem solving
  • Excellent communication and people skills, ability to work across departments and with non-finance areas
