Android Developer

First Media is a millennial focused media company and one of the Top 10 publishers on Facebook, with 1.6 billion monthly views and 120M+ fans on social media. We are looking for an Android developer with a passion for digital publishing, and content. This developer will work with our engineering team to build the next generation of our mobile applications for each of our digital verticals. This Developer will work out of our Tel Aviv, Israel office with the rest of the Engineering staff.

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Improve upon existing applications
Identify and correct process bottlenecks and fix bugs
Work with team to identify product roadmap and realistic execution plans
Collaborate cross-functionally to define and design new features (must be able to prioritize requests)
Continuously research and read to discover, evaluate, and implement new features
Establish core architecture, development frameworks, software development and deployment best practices  

Proficient in mobile development
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a project
Timeline and priority driven
Minimum of 4 years of Android development experience
End-user focused
Passion for publishing
Bilingual Hebrew and English (required)
Problem-solving aptitude and a learning mindset
Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards a plus
Experience with iOS – a plus
Experience with JavaScript – a plus
Experience with video – a plus
