Manager Branch Sales (Regional Manager)

Position Description:
The Manager, Branch Sales (MBS) manages 4 - 8 Financial Sales Managers/Service Managers and, indirectly, the branch based staff in those branches. The MBS assists with achieving Bank growth and profitability goals by effectively planning, implementing and leading the branch marketing and business development plans for the assigned group of branches. The MBS ensures that associates meet their sales goals, with particular focus on the FSMs who concentrate on gathering low cost business deposits and generate fee income by the sales of business deposit products. The MBS interviews, hires and coaches the FSMs, according to a prescribed methodology.

Ensure that FSMs (and SMs, if applicable) gather business deposits, particularly low cost deposits, through effective outside calling efforts, referrals, networking, professionally prepared proposals, presentations, etc.

Ensure that branch associates maintain a positive working relationship with all branch partners and back office support groups, making referrals or escalating issues appropriately. Promote understanding of diversity issues among branch staff, and promote respect for all associates and clients. Ensure branch staff provides excellent service to all clients.

Manage branch client inquiries and complaints not resolved at the branch level, working with the Operations staff and other Bank representatives as required to resolve challenges.

Represent the Bank in the community by attending civic and community group meetings, participating and volunteering on civic and community projects, to generate additional business for the Bank; utilize relationships with local civic/volunteer organization(s) to identify potential CRA opportunities.


Position Requirements:
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 6 years experience in retail and/or business sales, customer service and/or a lending role.
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years experience in retail and/or business sales, customer service and/or a lending role.

Other Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of business deposit and fee income products.
Ability to successfully coach outside calling officers.
3+ years supervisory experience.
