Product Manager, Communications Platform

We are looking for a strong product manager to define the vision and roadmap for our Communication Platform. You will be responsible for managing the products and tools for key communication channels such as Print, Email and SMS. You will interact with a diverse group of stakeholders including Marketing, Communication Operations, Communication Managers, other Product teams, Marketing Operations and work with Agile team to guide the development of tools to enable communication with our Customers.


. Provide expertise on Communications Platform and drive the creation and evolution of Communications Platform product roadmap working closely with key stakeholders to support business objectives.

. Partner with our Phoenix based Communication Operations team to understand their needs and to build solutions that enable them to deliver best in class service to our end customers and achieve our business goals.

. Create and maintain product backlogs and user stories, discover customer and organizational needs, systems and operations requirements, customer rollout requirements, and usability for Marketers and Operations.

. Identify opportunities for business or process improvement, make appropriate recommendations, and help implement solutions.

. Work closely with development team to ensure that requirements are understood, properly implemented and validated.

. Tenaciously work through issue identification, resolution, documentation and communication.


. 5+ years of related product management experience with a Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field (MS/MBA a plus).

. Experience with Email solutions such as ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud; marketing solutions to deliver Print communications; and Campaign Communication Management tools.

. Strong technical skills, comfortable debating solution trade-offs with Engineers and Architects.

. Strong customer orientation (internal customers and end-user customers).

. Knowledge of the 401(k) industry, personal finance or Advisory Services is extremely helpful.

. Extensive experience writing user stories and working with agile teams to execute. Ability to influence and collaborate across the organization and at all levels to drive results.

. Proven ability to take initiative, use consultative skills and build strong, productive relationships.

. Ability to think strategically, while being able to implement tactical plans.

. Strong organization, presentation and communication skills.

. Ability to travel up to 15%, as necessary.
