The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing financial records, track organization assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities including month-end close activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, and participating in special projects within the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all cost accounting functions including monthly variance and margin analyses, inventory reconciliations, quarterly inventory reserves, and update annual cost rolls
• Manage close procedures, including journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Ensure adequate documentation exists for for financial reporting
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information

• Process payroll and work closely with HR
• Maintains general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries
• Work with managers on invoices and proper documentation on expenses
• Prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analysis, timely and accurately and complete database backups
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
• Liaise with internal business partners such as Director of Finance and CFO
• Prepare audit schedules for internal and external auditors as needed and provide support for all audit activities
• Other responsibilities as assigned based on business need.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, Masters is a plus
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Experience in startup environment is a plus
• Must be able to think outside the box
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Must demonstrate strong time management, written, analytical and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and be a strong team player
• Ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks
• Advance knowledge of Google sheets and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF functions, etc)
• Netsuite knowledge preferred
