DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer, who will join our DevOps team in creating robust production environments for the company's products and services and will work closely with R&D on configuration management and DevOps initiatives.

About the role

  • Communicating with the different departments in the company, understanding the production requirements and configuration management requirements

  • Implementing and managing the operations work plan and processes

  • Work closely with the R&D teams to define and implement the processes required for configuration management

  • Ensure efficient and effective operations with excellent customer service

  • Develop, communicate, and enforce policies, standards, and procedures

  • Manage the day-to-day operations activities

  • Provide guidance to business and support units

  • Lead vendor relationship and negotiation

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in AWS cloud computing infrastructure

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration

  • 2+ years of experience in Maven and configuration management

  • Familiarity with at least one scripting - Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (at least one) - Nagios, Sensu, Prometheus, Any other...

  • Familiarity with continuous delivery and deployment tools (Jenkins / TeamCity / Gitlab) - a must

  • Familiarity with version control system (Git) - a must

  • Experience with automation tools: Ansible / Chef / SaltStack

  • Basic databases understanding - a must:

  • Experience with cloud technologies – advantage

  • Familiarity with Docker - advantage

  • Experience in Java – advantage

  • Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written

  • Self-starter, fast learner, can-do attitude, and great interpersonal skills

  • First degree in computer related degree – advantage
