The Role & Key Duties

Capture Managers are the senior leaders of business development, consistently mining key accounts, and engaging new opportunities. Capture Managers working across product management, the proposal team, and service delivery to build and ensure a winning capture strategy. Capture Managers have the resources of the company at their disposal to expand and grow business for Federated Wireless.

Capture Managers are viewed as business leaders, ready to assist in developing strategies for growth, and identifying new market opportunities. Capture Managers represent the company to vendors and teaming partners, making strategic assessments on capabilities and establishing risk/reward matrices for every unique opportunity to capture. The Capture Manager is the single point of contact to the government client on the proposal, and works for the Vice President and General Manager, Federal as a dedicated ‘client representative’.


The Capture Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellence in the delivery of all aspects of a bid to a client to include:

  • Teaming partner selection
  • Win strategy development
  • Price-to-win identification

Internal company resource alignment

  • Proposal process from incept to delivery



Required Experience

  • 15+ years of experience with government or complex system strategy and/or business development
  • Experience with program capture management within the past 5 years
  • Winning complex government programs in some or all of the following categories:

Software as a Service, System integration; Engineering Services; Wireless Communications;

  • Client Experience:

The federal government – civilian; Federal government – defense; Public sector – other

  • Competitive Experience:

Full and open; IDIQ; Prime/sub;

  • Contract Experience:
