Information Security Analyst Associate, Analyst or Senior Analyst

Position Summary

The Information Security Analyst, with moderate to high management oversight, increases and maintains the security posture of the Bank's Information systems by investigating security issues, monitoring compliance with bank policy, and contributing to information security assurance, awareness and training, and risk management activities. Incumbents will execute assigned standard operating procedures, generate reports relative to the banks' security posture, document procedures and policy, and recommend improvements.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Works under general direction to administer Information Security-related monitoring activities. Exercises sound judgment in identifying and escalating process deficiencies. Serve as the department expert for assigned routine tasks.
  • Respond to security incidents using existing procedures and under moderate direction. Create reports and keep management informed of incident status.
  • Applies general knowledge of industry best practices to make sound decisions on identifying security-related issues and defining security requirements in line with Federal Reserve Information Security Standards.
  • Coordinate Information Security consultations, providing direct support and clarifying guidance to Bank customers.
  • Perform autonomously to interact with Information Security staff to enhance and implement processes, tools and utilities to enhance the Internal Consulting practice. Enhancements include, but are not exclusive to, Business Process Management, Customer Relationship Management, and ticket tracking services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

Education & Experience:

Information Security Associate

• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of related work experience or

• Associate's Degree and 4+ years of related work experience

Information Security Analyst

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of related work experience

• CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or CISM required

Senior Information Security Analyst

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of related work experience

• CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or CISM required

• Analytical skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of NIST standards as it relates to the Risk Management Framework

• Ability to perform independent research

• Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.

• This position may require working nights and weekends, working at home or physically reporting to resolve security issues.

• Precision is critical since mistakes can cause volumes of secured data to be lost and/or exposed.
