The FP&A Manager will lead the consolidated financial planning and analysis for the organization. Responsibilities will require cultivating and managing business partnerships with various strategic business units, sales, procurement, operations, and finance leaders. Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are crucial to drive discussions for constructing budgets and SBU analysis, preparing analytical reports, explaining results, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is needed along with experience with Power BI systems and reporting tools.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Partner across finance, sales, marketing, procurement, operations, manufacturing and cross-functional SBU teams to establish and communicate company direction and develop tools to help drive results
- Collaborate with a team of finance professionals and be accountable for delivering reporting, data driven insights and analysis, financial recommendations, and implications of various strategic options
- Partner across the organization to accurately forecast capital projects and determine applicable ROI
- Identify efficiency opportunities and ensures process optimization, consistency, and compliance with company policy
- Plan | Forecast | Actuals
- Responsible for directing and coordinating the annual planning and forecasting process
- Set direction, develop, and communicate processes and timelines for targeted expense areas, most notably indirect spending and controllable expenses companywide inclusive of the total cost of ownership for all material
- Support comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs for all expense areas
- Partner across all strategic business units and budget owners to ensure a timely and accurate expense outlook and reconciliation of all prior expenses
- Lead development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis or KPIs for key stakeholders, including the Chief Financial Officer and ELT
- Enable and encourage fact-based and objective decision-making related to annual company goals
- Provide strategic perspective and financial analysis to support the company's long-range plan and growth objectives
- Partner with finance leadership to ensure the planning strategy is aligned with objectives
Special Projects
- Partner with the leadership team to ensure the successful evolution of transformation-based projects
- Incorporate transformation initiatives and process into both annual and long-term planning; support evaluation and tracking for all initiatives
- Work with pricing leadership to balance priorities and flow to the work to support the broader FP&A goals as required
- Build and promote a continuous improvement mindset by championing finance transformation initiatives across people, processes, and technology
- Foster an environment that creates a high-performing and collaborative unit
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in roles with increasing responsibilities
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting (FP&A, sales, finance, manufacturing or supply chain, operations, and finance)
- Strong Excel skills a must, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with Power BI tools and reporting services a plus
- Strong communicator with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and senior leaders
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to influence
