UX Researcher, Infrastructure

We're looking for awesome mixed methods UX Researchers that like researching users in a complex problem space to come work on our new UX research team in DevInfra! Come work on researching products in the DevTools, DataTools, and Productivity space that FB employees use every day to get their jobs done. Everything from tools to push code, to analyzing data, to scheduling conference rooms are all under the UXR DevInfra umbrella. Candidates will be primarily owning a research vertical in the DevTools, DataTools, or Productivity space as well as conducting cross cutting UX research that affect all of our products. Work will be primarily on the formative side of things as we start to define UXR for DevInfra. Since this is a new UXR team, researchers will have a lot of autonomy to determine what studies to work on and to define research direction.

UX RESEARCHER, INFRASTRUCTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with product teams to identify research topics
  • Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
  • Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.A/B.S. in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in applied product research
  • Knowledge of a set of qualitative and user-centered design methods
  • Knowledge of quantitative, behavioral analysis, and statistical concepts
