Facebook recently launched Shops in an effort to help businesses impacted by COVID-19. Shops will help businesses to go online, grow across our Family and rebound quickly when this crisis is over. We are actively working on building more capabilities that will get us to a stage where every small business starts their business with us as their primary presence online and every larger business points all on-FB marketing to their Shop because we are their best partner for growth.

This team builds technical infrastructure to build Shops in the FB App. As a TPM on the Facebook App Monetization team, you will drive many cross-functional initiatives to ensure that we democratize economic opportunities for billions of people who use FB App on a daily basis. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. As peers to Engineering Managers and Product Managers, Facebook App Monetization TPMs heavily contribute to making FB App a vibrant town square.

  • Manage cross-functional infrastructure software engineering programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
  • Perform risk management and change management on projects.
  • Reduce surprises during execution and own progress reporting.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
  • Interface with Engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope.
  • Drive collaboration and motivation to reach challenging goals.
  • Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience working on building consumer facing software products.
