Technical Program Manager

Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager, for the Infrastructure and Security team within Enterprise Engineering. As a TPM focused on Enterprise Security, you will support our initiatives around data security, identity and access management, and compliance activities. This is a constantly evolving space, so the TPM needs to be flexible and be able to pivot based on the problems we are trying to solve. The role needs to have technical knowledge that enables them to influence and drive cross-team projects and roadmaps. TPMs work horizontally to create long-term value for Facebook by promoting the right technologies for productivity, stability, and growth. This is a full-time position based in our MPK office and will report to the Enterprise Engineering TPM Manager.


  • Manage cross-functional security programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (IAM, Access control and Remote Access services and systems environments, preferably in a cloud environment)
  • Help define roadmap and long term strategy of the teams you are working with
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
  • Perform risk management and change management on projects
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
  • Interface with Engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope
  • Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiatives
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • Web or Internet start-up environment and identity access management experience.
  • Experience building, scaling and/or migrating a distributed customer base, both internal and external, from one authentication framework to another.
  • Security/privacy data experience such as GDPR.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI detection systems.
