Technical Producer - Video Operations

Facebook is seeking a Technical Producer to scale and grow Video Operations for the Events team globally. This position is part of the Enterprise Engineering organization, so candidates must be passionate about Technology, live customer service and have the ability to thrive in fast paced, high-pressure environment. This individual needs to have a strong background in studio operations and building studios. Some global travel is expected. This is a full-time position in Menlo Park, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and create new processes to improve workflow and job performance.
  • Maintain Global quality standards for Studio Operations
  • Work closely with Enterprise Engineering new builds to ensure that studio standards, headcount, and equipment are provisioned for future studio builds
  • Work closely with scheduling to ensure proper crew assignments and implement new strategies.
  • Reviews client requests and provides technical direction for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of services.
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
  • Directs and oversees work of Studio Production Vendors and Audio Visual Support Vendors.
  • Cultivate a network of global studio resources and provide Event Ops Manager with reports on vendor performance.
  • Easily steps into the role of Executive Producer, Technical Director, and/or Project Manager from planning to execution for any assigned events.
  • Keeps Event Ops Manager well informed of status of event support efforts and serves as liaison between vendors and clients.
  • Owns the technical support lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout support planning and delivery.
  • Communicates and enforces Facebook standards, creating and defining new standards as technology and scope evolve. Helps identify and vet in region resources including, but not limited to, audio visual service providers, venues, and remote network infrastructure support.
  • Manages technical resources within budget and client support schedule.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality, high impact services to clients.
  • Ability to Facilitate change, serve as a change agent in the organization
  • Develop & motivate talent, creating standards and expectations for excellence in broadcasting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical studio production experience
  • 5+ years experience in equipment operation in live event environment
  • 5+ years experience in project management
  • 3+ years experience operating equipment to support Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies including projection, switching and formatting, Video Recording, and Camera Operation, Internet Broadcast Video Streaming, Network Infrastructure Assessment, Set design, and IT operations and Support.
  • Knowledge of technical event support system architectures including but not limited to studio control rooms, greenrooms, editing suites
