Strategic Sourcing Manager - Marketing

Facebook is currently searching for a seasoned professional to work in Finance to be part of the team that is responsible for management of our key strategic vendors, agreement negotiations, professional services, and purchases. This person will work closely with key Marketing groups meeting their fast paced needs in relation to strategic sourcing strategies and contract/statement of work execution.


  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to strategically manage spend and the supply base for assigned categories
  • Establish Marketing Preferred Suppliers program to channel spend appropriately
  • Understand the strategic business objectives and procurement requirements to develop sourcing strategies and category roadmaps
  • Analyze spend data, internal requirements, and external supply markets to develop strategic sourcing strategies and plans aligned with the business goals
  • Establish procurement performance targets and ensure alignment with the sourcing plans
  • Manage complex sourcing projects and lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company
  • Identify and report key performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement
  • Act as procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business on procurement strategies, processes, policies, and best practices
  • Prepare sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work and related procurement documents
  • Provide regular communication and training on processes and systems
  • Perform the supplier management function in collaboration with the business
  • Develop strong partnerships with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, and Legal teams
  • Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS degree
  • 8+ years strategic sourcing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement for marketing and creative services
  • Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience in handling a variety of marketing related agreements including but not limited to media, agency, professional services, research, and events
  • Experience consulting with internal business clients
  • Experience in improving end-to-end processes
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Tableau financial modeling
  • Experience analyzing data, performing analysis and making recommendations on sourcing opportunities
  • Experience working global contract documents through execution ensuring risks are mitigated and value is procured
