Facebook is seeking an experienced member for our Media Partnerships. We are looking for a near native Spanish speaker to be a Strategic Partner Manager based in our Madrid office to collaborate closely with media organisations across News, Sport and Entertainment in Spain & Portugal. This person will build and enhance successful partnerships, influence internal and external partners, and implement strategic partnership plans with our key partners in the media industry. This job requires high levels of creativity and strategic thinking, as you'll be called upon to help a range of media companies and personalities on Facebook's Platform. You will be the face of Facebook to our external relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.You should be as comfortable pitching and negotiating deals with partners as working cross-functionally with colleagues in Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Legal to create new social experiences that meet the strategic objectives of partners and Facebook. You should also expect to handle day-to-day operations and partnership management with many of our media partners and handle and prioritise incoming requests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and optimisation of Facebook's strategic partnerships
  • Initiate, structure, negotiate, and maintain high impact strategic content partnerships
  • Support new partners through launch process and liaise with Facebook product and technical support
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and develop and execute against partner account plans
  • Become the primary point of contact for and maintain strong direct relationships with Facebook's key partners
  • Proactively resolve business issues with partners
  • Be an internal advocate for the partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • Deep passion for Facebook products and social media
  • Deep knowledge of the media industry in Spain and Europe, with very strong contacts
  • Near native Spanish speaker
  • 5+ years experience in media industry, with focus on digital initiatives and partnerships
  • Proven track record of initiating and successfully driving new business opportunities
  • Excellent project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in written and conversational Spanish and English are essentialExtensive experience in the media industry
  • Experience in the Entertainment vertical an advantage
  • BA/BS degree with outstanding academic performance
