Strategic Partner Manager, Community Programs

With that foundation, our next focus will be developing the social infrastructure for community - for supporting us, for keeping us safe, for informing us, for civic engagement, and for inclusion of all. We are at the beginning of this journey and are looking for someone who is interested in shaping our strategies through work with external partners. Facebook is building an experienced programs team that is passionate about the way Facebook can break the barriers community leaders face - funding, support, belief, and tools. You should be obsessed with technology, social media and business strategy to build a variety of valuable program experiences for people to become part of such communities. You will work with some of the world's best organization and as well as community leaders as well as our world class product and engineering teams. In addition to those teams, you will work cross-functionally with the Policy, Legal, Marketing, PR and the Operations teams to optimize new capabilities, improve user experience, and make our partners successful. A qualified candidate will have a strong passion and curiosity for innovative social products and their potential for transforming communities. This position is located in our Menlo Park, CA office.


  • Lead Programs and Operations team so that the team can scale work and support to Community Leaders globally
  • Drive program strategy through strategic partnerships with community leaders - both people and organizations
  • Define market requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of program performance, explore new strategic opportunities, inform the future roadmap with enhanced or new program, and ensure program and industry impact
  • Build operational processes for programs to be able to scale and define and execute measurement processes and tools
  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and policy issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, business development, partnerships, policy, legal, marketing, and PR to launch products and partnerships - to develop, implement and deliver value-add initiatives for community leaders
  • Manage multiple complex project deliverables for multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to community leaders in defining, analyzing, and measuring of their community management problems
  • Represent Facebook in external meetings with executives from other companies, including proactively resolving technical and policy issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Experience building communities
  • 10+ years of work experience with programs, product, partnership, or technical experience in consumer technology companies
  • Knowledge of the Facebook Platform and how its products could be leveraged to build community
  • Leadership building experience
  • Proven track record of organizational, creative, and strategic-thought leadership
  • Fluency in any other language
  • Ability to define, develop and lead large programs in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills - with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management
  • A strong passion for innovation and collaboration with startups and early stage entrepreneurs and developers
  • Displaying the highest personal integrity and ethics
