Facebook is seeking a media professional to join the News Partnerships team as a strategic partnerships developer focused on local media. This role will execute initiatives that build relationships with that sector. The Partnerships team is the external arm of Facebook and works with the world's largest and most exciting organizations on high-profile projects across the full suite of Facebook Inc. products. The job is based in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the local news partnerships team to execute strategy, implementation and optimization of Facebook's strategic partnerships with the sector
  • Become a primary point of contact for and maintain strong relationships with Facebook's local media partners
  • Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high-impact social integrations, and drive operational management of partnership projects
  • Be an internal advocate within Facebook for partners, including with product teams
  • Work with relevant internal teams to ensure that Facebook is taking partner input into account in relevant product and policy decisions
  • Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or higher
  • 4+ years of experience in News/Publishing and/or partner development, with focus on publishing and news and politics
  • Experience to work cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Experience in the news industry and how it intersects with technology, as well as a demonstrated interest in local media
