CrowdTangle is a social discovery & analytics platform that was acquired by Facebook in late 2016. CrowdTangle is a free platform used by publishers to discover stories, benchmark against competitors and identify influencers. We're looking for someone to lead CrowdTangle partnerships across India. This will be someone who is passionate about media and helping the news industry use social media to support their work.
This individual will manage our top-tier media partners across India alongside Facebook's strategic partner managers, with the goal of helping those partners get the most of our platform. One should be excited about regularly working with & training editors, social media managers and journalists on how to use CrowdTangle to inform their work. Candidates will be data driven, self-motivated, and excited to work in a fast-paced, changing industry. One will be able to think creatively about issues, be passionate about problem solving and comfortable wearing a lot of hats. This role is based in New Delhi or Mumbai.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish regional goals and work with multiple stakeholders on strategies for executing, measuring progress and reporting results across your partners
  • Manage a select group of top-tier partners across India to deliver the most value out of CrowdTangle
  • Proactively identify and lead initiatives to deliver impact across the region, through partnerships, major tentpole events and more
  • Work with our scaled education team, as well as other partner managers, to educate a broader set of partners through webinars, case studies, events and more
  • Collaborate with other CrowdTangle partnerships team members to identify best practices and deliver impact to our partners
  • Bring ideas and feedback from the region to the CrowdTangle product team to influence our roadmap
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within Facebook, working across time-zones and across various organizations
  • Participate in industry events including conferences, workshops and presentations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of work experience in the India market, in a partner-facing, digital or social media management type role
  • Experience with social media and digital strategy
  • A strong sense of prioritization and focus
  • ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in and influencing global cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS degree
  • Strong experience in media and publishing (print, broadcast or digital)
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully train others on digital tools and processes
  • Experience with social media analytics/social monitoring, including tools like CrowdTangle, Dataminr, TweetDeck and others
  • Experience presenting at public events and engaging with high-level stakeholders
