Facebook is seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to join our Integrity, Investigations, and Intelligence team. The candidate will be responsible for helping Facebook understand and anticipate how the intersection of geopolitical dynamics and security risks impact the people who use Facebook's products, and help guide the company in its responses to these threats. The candidate will work cross-functionally with partners across the organization, and their analytic insights will be applied to make Facebook and its users more secure through product and policy changes. The potential for impact with this work is substantial, as outcomes could affect the billions of people who use our products. Analysts will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging, complicated, and high-visibility security risks the company is facing.
The perfect candidate will have a multidisciplinary analytic background, with at least some experience in quantitative or technical fields and data-driven decision making. It is highly important candidates are focused on results, and are self-starters.


  • Conduct research and analysis on the intersection of geopolitical and security risks as they apply to the Facebook platform and its community of users
  • Design, develop, and produce analytic products and risk reports based on geopolitical, demographic, and social data points
  • Collaborate on requirements solicitation and gather feedback from internal Facebook stakeholders
  • Manage multiple research projects at once while effectively prioritizing time
  • Work closely with the investigations and threat detection staff and other teams within the company
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of post-college work in an analytic role with experience conducting technical and non-technical investigations
  • Experience working with large data sets and assimilating all-source inputs
  • Experience creating research requirements and developing new tradecraft and tooling to meet research needs
  • Experience understanding the intersection of global security risks
  • Experience thinking critically and properly qualifying assessments with communications
  • Proven track record of managing and executing on short-term and long-term projects
  • Experience setting and managing expectations with key stakeholders and team members
  • Experience communicating and establishing rapport with a global team
  • Experience prioritizing and executing with minimal direction or oversight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, economics, international relations, or regional studies
  • Knowledge with SQL or other data analytics programming languages
  • Familiarity and experience working in the context of an intelligence organization in private or non-government sector
  • Deep-dive regional studies and language skills
  • Experience with an Internet-based company
