Sourcing Manager, Data Center Infrastructure (Electrical)

As a sourcing manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial relationships with Facebook's Electrical equipment partners. In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing and supply chain services for the electrical equipment (ex: Generators, RPPs, Busway), that will be deployed in Facebook's worldwide data center footprint. This role will be accountable to set the sourcing strategy, develop a partner management plan, work closely with the Facebook Infrastructure Data Center team and execute with speed and agility to achieve all quality, delivery, and goals.


  • Set equipment sourcing strategy, develop a supporting supplier management plan, and execute to achieve performance metrics
  • Lead the RFx process for new technology and second sourcing of Electrical equipment
  • Develop and execute to a supplier management plan
  • Manage supplier performance on a regular basis through the use of quality, delivery, and cost metrics
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts
  • Ensure timely execution of new technology and supplier qualification against Data Center build long range plan
  • Manage all supplier exceptions and drive performance improvements
  • Achieve best landed cost
  • Ensure suppliers comply with NDA and contract standards
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in order to drive better quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to drive end to end efficiencies
  • Balance overall supply and demand and ensure long-term forecasts are developed and implemented
  • Collect and report supplier performance through accurate collection of established performance metrics
  • Measure and manage supplier improvement programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business related field of study
  • 6+ years of relevant work related experience in supply chain
  • Experience in supplier management
  • Prior experience working in a networking technical environment
  • Prior experience managing suppliers in global engagements
  • Experience improving and managing supplier performance in production environments
  • Interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to focus and handle multiple priorities in a changing environment
  • Must be independent with proven ability to execute on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must have technical competence in: Data Center Electrical equipment and technologies
