The SMB team contributes directly to this mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook and then helping them grow through solutions like pages, advertising, and messaging. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business. The SMB team at Facebook is one of two sales channels responsible for Facebook's multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our team specifically manages more than 99% of Facebook's 5M advertisers. And our potential business is even larger with more than 65M active SMB pages on Facebook. We're just getting started. The SMB team is seeking a leader to lead a team with global responsibility for operational excellence among our internal and outsources teams. The leader will be responsible for solving one of the key challenges for our future business: how do we support our rapidly growing client-basis and provide value for our clients at scale. This will include developing our platform strategy, covering our internal infrastructure, measurement, reporting, and operational workflows. The leader will also be responsible for thinking of how different SMB teams can work together and provide a consistent and smooth client experience across the different service and sales teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in leading a team, action-focused, data driven, and loves identifying business priorities, breaking down problems & processes, building solutions, improving workflows, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Success in this role would mean scaling the impact of our internal and outsourced teams to meet the needs of our growing client base and providing value to our clients at scale through sales and service. This is a full time position based in our Menlo Park HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for our sales and service platforms
  • Manage a portfolio of levers like internal infrastructure, reporting, measurement, workflows, and operational processes to make the teams more effective and drive our business success
  • Drive our scaling strategy – how do we make our current team capable to support our quickly growing client base and drive value for our clients at scale
  • Drive operational excellence for our internal and outsourced teams
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Facebook to drive our team's success
  • Identify opportunities to provide scaled support for internal stakeholders
  • Recruit, interview, train, and hire new team members
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to members of your team
  • Drive outstanding performance both for this team and the broader SMB org by setting team-level performance metrics, goals, and priorities — ensuring full execution
  • Use data to drive strategic decisions about our internal platforms

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 8+ years of experience in internal platforms/operations/consulting or related areas
  • 4+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to maximize the output of others
  • Ability to collaborate across different teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience developing processes, templates, and modules
  • Experience identifying gaps or business needs and working collaboratively to implement solutions
  • Ability to break down complex business problems into project plans leading to comprehensive recommendations
  • Ability to communicate strategy and results to different audiences
  • Data savviness
