The ideal Security Project Manager Intern will work cross functionally with teams across Facebook to coordinate and execute security initiatives at scale. This person should have strong communication skills and be a self-starter, ensuring that project goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Facebook's security issues, processes, and policies
  • Manage day-to-day execution of project implementations.
  • Partner with project managers to understand scope, objectives and metrics for success
  • Adjust schedules and plans, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success
  • Communicate process, policy and product concepts effectively to senior leadership, business and cross-functional partners
  • Establish working team goals, and work with team members and leaders cross-functionally on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to distill complex issues and feedback into meaningful directive communications
  • Ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively to other departments and varying levels of management
  • Ability to handle a number of simultaneous tasks while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive tasks and issues to completion
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must be organized, detail and goal oriented, and a self-starter
