Facebook is looking for a leader for the Security Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, growing and managing a team of Security Associates responsible for supporting the internal teams who build, design and operate Facebook's infrastructure. You must have a passion for continuously improving the Operational Practices of Facebook's Security Operations. This role requires a mix of broad business and technical acumen with strong people-management skills, the ability to inspire and influence decisions around security risk management, and a polished ability to communicate with key internal stakeholders. This role is full time in Menlo Park, CA.

  • Demonstrate and communicate Facebook's deep commitment to security to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support business and security operations by ensuring we are supporting FB internal teams while reducing security risk in the operating environment
  • Manage daily activities and functions of the Security Operations Team
  • Lead the general strategy and direction of Security Operations to address the continuously changing needs of Facebook's @scale IT infrastructure and general business needs
  • Partner with security engineering teams and internal users to develop and continuously improve the process and efficiency of Security Operations
  • Partner with the Security Risk Manager to help continuously assess and improve upon the needs of the Security Risk Management program
  • Find practical solutions to standardize and scale across Facebook
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure successful security programs that align with identifying security risks
  • Understand technical implementation details necessary to assess and recommend solutions to mitigate security risks and define controls
  • Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely manner to program stakeholder
  • Ability to distill complex issues and feedback into meaningful directive communications
  • Mine data analytically and extract impactful operational insight
  • Manage development of data resources, gather requirements, organize sources and support various operational initiatives
  • Tech savvy, proficient in using service apps, and thrives on using technology to solve problems
  • Ability to build and maintain reports, dashboards and metrics around performance
  • Ability to handle a number of simultaneous tasks while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive tasks and issues to completion
  • 4+ years experience working on Information Security teams or conducting Information Security consulting engagements
  • Experience with developing security reporting that is meaningful and actionable for a variety of audiences including peers, internal stakeholders, management, and external third parties
  • Experience developing and managing processes and procedures while continuously seeking to make relevant and practical improvements to each
  • Experience in solving intricate problems and conducting complex analyses
  • Experience managing large scale programs and projects
  • Deep experience in Information Security operations space
  • Knowledge and understanding of security controls across all security domains such as access management, encryption methods, vulnerability management, network security, physical security, etc.
  • Bachelor's in information security, information technology, or related field
