Security Engineer - Corporate Security

Facebook Security is seeking a highly talented and motivated security engineer to drive corporate security initiatives that protect the security of over a billion people. You will work on the Corporate Security team designing, building and supporting the infrastructure and services that allow Facebook to move fast, securely and at scale. The ideal candidate will share our passion for engineering solutions to complex security problems, while minimizing employee friction and maximizing productivity.


  • Provide subject matter expertise on architecture, authentication and system security
  • Enhance the security posture of corporate infrastructure and tools
  • Perform security assessments of core corporate services
  • Demonstrate security leadership while working across the company on security projects
  • Provide security guidance on a constant stream of new projects and technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to develop tools using an interpreted programming language (PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of internet security issues and the threat landscape
  • Security generalist with meaningful experience in many of the following areas:
  • Operating systems internals and hardening with an emphasis on endpoint security (OSX, Windows, Linux, mobile platforms)
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL Server
  • Securing Oracle products (DB, Exadata, Fusion, SOA Suite, ADF, OBIEE, BPM, EBS)
  • Managing security across diverse corporate fleets
  • Application security
  • Applied cryptography, key management, authentication and authorization systems
  • Advanced knowledge of networks, including IPv6 and SDN
  • SaaS security
  • Virtualization (VMware)
  • Offensive research
  • Red team operations
