Sales Operations Manager, Gaming EMEA

Facebook is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to be part of the International Sales, Planning and Operations team. The role supports the Global Gaming sales organisation in meeting its strategic objectives by driving business planning and review efforts, strategic initiatives and managing / supporting the overall operating cadence of the business. This person will support the Global Gaming RVP and Global Leadership team, communicating a shared vision with cross-functional groups to deliver programs that enable the Sales team to operate as a cohesive and integrated team. It will also drive scalable revenue growth and operational effectiveness across the globe.


  • Partner for VP, Global Gaming for Sales Planning and Operations
  • Serve as a key member of the Global Gaming leadership team while reporting into the International Sales Operations VP
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to four team members. This is a player / coach role where the manager will be both supporting a high-performing team to deliver on operational goals and also directly executing on certain Global elements of the overall team responsibilities
  • Drive execution through ability to quickly move from high-level conversations into detailed operational discussions
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on Gaming sales and revenue performance by actively managing the pipeline of opportunities and weekly sales forecasts
  • Drive strategic priorities in the Gaming category including Console, Mobile and Real Money Gaming ensuring decisions in line with the global sales organization's approach
  • Support senior management in strategic, business and operational planning and ensure we have strong plans at a market (sub-region, pod), vertical and account level
  • Play a critical role in providing gudiance, training and leadership to a highly consultative regional sales teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market dynamics and implications for Facebook's strategy in each region to drive best global standards
  • Play the role of neutral referee by understanding global imperatives and tradeoffs and ultimately ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of Facebook overall
  • Representing the Gaming organization in global forums
  • Partner with VP and HR BP to provide thought leadership on organizational reviews and rhythm of the business to drive decision-making and review progress on global goals
  • Provide sophisticated research and analysis (e.g. market/industry/vertical deep dives / products) for the business leadership to support decision-making
  • Support the Regional VP and Regional Leads in developing and communicating a consistent vision and focus across the organisation
  • Willingness to travel for regional offsites to Facebook HQ in California and other regional offices as required, estimated travel one week per quarter
  • BA/BS Degree. MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of business operations experience preferably in the digital media, technology, online gaming or Internet space operating with large and complex organizations
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • 5+ years people management, influencing and coaching skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams not directly reporting to you
  • Proven experience leading regional strategy sales, relationship management and operations projects at a top-tier consulting firm or in a corporate strategy
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights and data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
  • Ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexity to overcome obstacles with moderate direction
  • Demonstrable success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
