Facebook is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, process & detail oriented Sales Operations Analyst who will serve as a member of Facebook’s core Sales Operations team. The role will be part of the Global Sales Operations group, with a focus on improving the EMEA rhythm of business and planning processes and identifying ways to improve the scalability and impact of the EMEA Sales Operations team on the wider business. The primary focus of the position will be driving improvements in Sales effectiveness by identifying or being tasked with owning centralised EMEA processes to execute on global planning and process improvements for the EMEA markets. Focus is often on identifying the future needs of the Sales organisation and ensuring the business is operationally ready to support the Sales organisation as it grows and changes. The ideal candidate will be just as comfortable working directly with data and logic as well as communicating, presenting and project managing proposed improvements. There will be an expectation for the candidate to be self-starting and move fast, utilizing and adapting global tools and processes assist the EMEA Sales Operations team, with an attitude that done is better than perfect. The candidate should expect to work in a highly ambiguous environment where scope of responsibility and ownership is driven by the needs of the EMEA Sales organization and global processes. Performance is measured on the impact they have had on our Operational effectiveness. Getting to grips with complex data and designing processes paired with an understanding of business challenges is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Process Improvement:Identification of operational improvements based on review of current processes through documentation of process and data flows
  • Regular communication with Global Sales Operations counterparts to execute on global projects and feedback future needs of regional sales teams
  • Experience and understanding of information flow strategies and best practices when working with data
  • Ability to manage and work on a wide variety of projects simultaneously, understanding that done is better than perfect to maximise impact
  • EMEA Analytics & Reporting:Data Analytics and Insight into Sales and Operations through a variety of tools including Tableau, SQL and Excel
  • Partner with the EMEA Sales Operations team to drive accurate and consistent metric and KPI usage
  • Be able to go deep into our data systems to pull out previously undiscovered insights
  • Design & build new dashboards to aid in improving commercial performance through actionable analysis by Sales Operations and Sales teams around the world
  • Revenue analysis: Analyse current sales channel, vertical, and sub-vertical performance and identify levers for driving revenue growth
  • Partner and influence numerous functions in the business, including BI/IT, HR, Marketing and Finance to ensure coordination of business projects and ensure future needs of Sales Management are addressed
  • Provide feedback and influence into new policies that solve for stronger alignment and standardisation while allowing for flexibility and speed in sales processes
  • New Tool Creation & Deployment:Highly proficient in logic based skills and languages such as SQL, Excel, VBA in order to be self-sufficient in deploying new processes and procedures. Microstrategy and Anaplan experience highly preferred
  • Capable of learning new logic/programming languages to continue to enhance Facebook’s Sales processes on Facebook’s platform of technologies and 3rd party solutions
  • Participate in the development of centralized tools, ranging from dashboards, multi-dimensional modelling and spreadsheets, that Sales teams can use to extract data / insights for daily business management in an automated manner or formalise Sales processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business operational role, analytics or planning experience required
  • At a minimum, BA/BS degree in a numerate or business related subject or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrable problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
  • Proven experience with managing information strategy and data structure
  • Advanced Excel skills & SQL knowledge and basic understanding of computer programming a must – Anaplan modelling experience preferableGeneral knowledge of basic statistics and data analysisCompetitive Salary including the following benefits apply:
