If you like helping people, Community Operations is for you. The Safety team works on the front lines of safety issues that affect the internet and social media. Our real-time environment and incredible growth have presented unique challenges in these areas and we are looking for an empathetic, proactive and experienced manager to lead some critical safety areas on the Dublin team

The Safety Lead/Manager will assume general management responsibilities of a safety team, ensuring that we build a deep understanding of high intensity issues impacting our community and business and provide direction and mentorship to to a motivated high performing team. The Manager will devise goals, deliver projects and implement solutions to meet community needs and mitigate risk for both the community and business, while working closely with multiple partners within various cross-functional teams to drive priorities. Helping people and solving challenging operational problems is core to the Community Operations team. This is a full time position, based in the Dublin EMEA Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of your team
  • Manage and respond to escalations, both internally and externally and ensure SLA's are met
  • Develop a deep understanding of Safety issues and how it affects our community and drive strategy and execution
  • Lead and enable a high-performing team to deliver on goals by providing superb 1:1 support
  • Establish team goals and work with direct reports on strategies for executing, measuring progress and sharing results
  • Deliver projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development, working directly with global cross-functional teams to problem solve and develop solutions
  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence team strategy through effective communication
  • Advocate for users within their market, partnering with global and cross-functional teams to develop global solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years leadership experience in a complex fast paced operational environment
  • Strong people manager with high EQ
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starting, intellectually curious and creative individual comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for Safety and a strong operation background
  • Prior experience with analytical tools (like Excel, SQL, or R) is a plus
  • Arabic and Languages such as Spanish, French, Turkish or Portuguese preferable
