Responsible Innovation Director

As a Product Policy Innovation Director at Facebook, you will play a key role in supporting Facebook's ongoing efforts to address these questions thoughtfully and responsibly. You'll serve as a subject matter expert and resource for teams across the company, including Product Development and Design, and will help develop training and educational resources focused on best practices and implementation.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.

RESPONSIBLE INNOVATION DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and advise Facebook teams working on new technologies
  • Work with Facebook's Product, Public Policy, and HR teams as well as external stakeholders, to develop programming and operations to support product risk assessments
  • Advise individuals and teams on best practices
  • Communicate with external stakeholders on behalf of Facebook on topics related to product design and technology
  • Develop and deliver training material for internal and external use
  • Develop, lead, and scale best practices as appropriate for various teams across the company
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 12+ years of experience in public policy, technology, or academia
  • Experience understanding the impact of technology and advising teams and companies on such matters
  • Experience working with and advising technical product teams
  • Experience with consensus-building
  • Experience operating independently and representing companies at the ministerial-level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced degree in public policy, philosophy, or law
