Facebook's Public Policy team is seeking a Policy Manager for its Global Policy Development team to direct the company's approach to content regulation, including our approach to online media regulation issues, intermediary liability, free expression, and related policy issues. Candidates should have expertise in content and media regulatory issues and/or law, experience working on platform policy issues (including intermediary liability and other communications and media policy issues), and strong knowledge of digital economy and Internet policy issues. They should also have excellent writing and analytical skills and share our vision of bringing the world closer together.

This role is full-time and will be based in London, United Kingdom OR Brussels, Belgium;

Responsibilities

  • Develop policy strategy and policy positions on content, online speech, and media policy issues
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze these policy issues at the international, federal, and state level
  • Articulate our positions on these policy issues in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings
  • Advise Facebook business and product teams on these policy matters to guide development of products and services
  • Represent Facebook in meetings with key stakeholders
  • Communicate Facebook's positions in public presentations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of content, online speech, and media policy experience
  • Experience in technology industry
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
