Proto Build Technical Program Manager

As Technical Program Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary prototype builds through the build process. You will oversee, manage, set schedules, and fulfill the prototype build by procuring all materials, establishing work instructions, and delivering the finished products. You will to establish requirements with internal customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. We look for program managers who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.


  • Work closely with the PD, Engineering and Technical support teams to oversee Protobuilds of next generation products
  • Create and develop schedules for Protobuild assemblies based on technical requirements, team needs, engineering and sourcing teams with BOM to ensure all parts are available for builds
  • Manage communication within and between engineering, sourcing and other teams of BOM to ensure all parts and components are available for builds
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks, short falls and scheduling conflicts
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
  • Manage delivery of samples and mass production parts for the different builds
  • Organize required face to face on site meeting with vendors
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
  • Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success
  • Travel up to 20% (10% international, 10% domestic)
  • BS in Engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience working as a program manager on consumer electronics
  • 3+ years experience working on or with product development process and mechanical assembly projects
  • Experience with the product development process
  • Experience with mechanical assembly, prototyping and BOM processes
  • Experience with program and issue tracking in addition to version control software
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
