Program Manager - Sharing

Program Managers at Facebook are passionate connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the operational aspects of the product teams, you will enable teams to focus their time on designing, building and shipping product. You will improve team communication, collaboration, and remove roadblocks. Finally, you'll utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team culture and industry expertise, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.

Responsibilities

  • Program Definition and Execution
    • Establish and support ongoing programs for product design teams including things like onboarding, learning opportunities, skill building and team building
    • Establish and execute special team activities that build culture and drive clarity of purpose
    • Manage initiatives and tools that better define our workspace to be more efficient and impactful
    • Manage task forces by providing flexible processes that help keep communication on track and ensure people have information, tools, and resources they need to succeed
    • Facilitate meetings including preparing agendas, establishing next steps and owners
    • Proactively raise and resolve issues around our initiatives before they are a problem for individuals
    • Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
    • Measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively
    • Track and move initiatives forward working with multiple stakeholders
  • Relationships
    • Build impactful relationships and serve as a dependable point of contact across the design teams and cross-functional partners you're working with in all offices
    • Establish communication structure to report out updates, progress and status with task forces or leads on the team so everyone understands role and expectations
    • Manage program communication and proactively connect with your partners in other offices or disciplines to make them aware of the programs and how they can support you
    • Track and move initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders and many moving parts
    • Drive clarity around ownership, objectives and next steps
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working with designers and creating design communities
  • 6+ years of experience as a producer, project manager or program manager with an experience establishing programs, supporting teams, and developing relationships
  • Track record of operating independently and delivering results
  • Experience in product design/UX and experience working with designers and cross-functional teams
