Program Manager - Facebook Design Systems

Program Managers working with our design teams at Facebook are passionate connectors and problem solvers. In this role, you'll be supporting a design team that is responsible for the Facebook Design System - our centralized programs and resources that support product design across the company. You'll help teams ship high quality products for businesses by creating a design language for our product ecosystem, running programs to help that design language grow and improve, and developing the tools that help us deliver and maintain that design language at scale. You'll utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together. Programs may consist of ensuring teams across the company can contribute to the Facebook Design System component library and evaluating the quality of our most impactful products for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Program Definition and Execution
    • Provide flexible processes that help keep communication on track and ensure people have information, tools, and resources they need to succeed
    • Facilitate meetings including preparing agendas, establishing next steps and owners
    • Proactively raise and resolve issues around our initiatives before they are a problem for individuals
    • Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
    • Measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively
    • Track and move initiatives forward working with multiple stakeholders
  • Relationships & Communication
    • Build impactful relationships and serve as a dependable point of contact across the design teams and cross-functional partners you're working with in all offices
    • Establish communication structure to report out updates, progress and status with task forces or leads on the team so everyone understands role and expectations
    • Manage program communication and proactively connect with your partners in other offices or disciplines to make them aware of the programs and how they can support you
    • Track and move initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders and many moving parts
    • Drive clarity around ownership, objectives and next steps
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience as a producer, project manager or program manager with an experience establishing systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships
  • Track record of operating independently delivering results
  • Knowledge in enterprise UI and system standards
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
