We're looking for a Connectivity Ecosystem Program (CEP) Manager to help us execute on our vision of connecting the world. You will work closely with network operators, industry stakeholders and internal program and technology teams to develop initiatives that drive adoption of innovative tech, processes and business models that ultimately extend the reach and accelerate the expansion of broadband networks. The position is based in Sao Paulo.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in Brazil and South America on innovative technology, business models and approaches to connecting the un(der)-connected.
  • Identify/ create and co-develop strategies and projects/ ventures with network operators and infrastructure providers (leveraging data, situation assessment, partners and FB ecosystem) to adopt new technology and/ or deploy new network infrastructure to extend the reach and accelerate the expansion of broadband networks.
  • Build membership, engagement and contributions by local network operators, tech companies and systems integrators in the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) ecosystem.
  • Understand network operator and infrastructure provider industry, trends, business drivers/ incentives, constraints, ways of doing business, constraints and requirements.
  • Assess the network operator (wireless, fixed-line, wholesale, retail) and infrastructure provider landscape (market, corporate/ internal, competition, tech/ suppliers, regulatory, etc.) to identify and prioritize opportunities and challenges.
  • Write succinct business plans and work closely with internal cross-functional teams to gain buy-in, support and approval for new projects/ ventures.
  • Work closely with program management and business development teams to structure and negotiate agreements with network operators to deploy new tech and network infrastructure.
  • Team up with partners and FB product, program, and project managers to ensure projects are delivered and connectivity goals are realized against aggressive timelines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in network infrastructure strategies, solutions and/ or deployments.
  • Deep market expertise in Brazil and South America telecoms and network infrastructure landscape.
  • Knowledge of either or both wireless access (2G/3G/4G) and fiber backhaul networks: technology and industry developments, regulatory and policy, OpEx and CapEx drivers and current challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to network, foster relationships and influence engagement from a full range of internal and external stakeholders ranging from C-suite to field technicians.
  • Proven success developing and managing diverse portfolio of projects that span short-/medium-/long-term and small/medium/big impact.
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • English and Portuguese.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%. International travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS or higher in an Engineering field or equivalent degree/experience.
  • MBA.
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus.
